Customer portal and payments

Customers follow their quilt, approve and pay, without calling.

Each customer gets a private link of their own. No account and no password: they open it and see their quilts, the estimate, where each quilt is, the invoice and a way to pay.

The customer portal on a phone: Kora's page at Worthing Quilting Studio listing her quilts and where each one is.
What a customer sees on their own link. No account, no password.

Approve from the phone

Estimates arrive by email with a button to the portal, where the customer reads every line and approves it in one tap. Messages about a quilt live in one thread, on their side and yours.

An estimate on the customer portal, on a phone: quilting, thread, batting and backing lines, tax, the estimated total and an Approve estimate button.
Customers read every line and approve the estimate from their phone.

Payments are a ledger, not a paid box

Each payment is its own row with an amount, method, date and note. Deposits and part payments just work, the balance due is always current, and a mistaken payment is voided rather than erased.

  • Cash, check, Venmo, Cash App, Zelle or other, recorded in a few taps, with an emailed receipt
  • Quick Pay: a Venmo or Cash App link and QR code with the amount filled in, free to use
  • “I've sent payment” on the portal tells you to look, and you record it when it arrives
  • Card payments through your own Stripe account, recorded on the quilt automatically
A finished quilt's page, Spring Floral: a message from the customer, then the invoice lines, tax, shipping, the total and balance due, with Record payment and Collect payment buttons.
The invoice, the balance due, and two ways to take a payment.

Plain about what we can and can't see

Quick Pay money goes straight from your customer to you. BobbinBill builds the link but can't see or confirm Venmo or Cash App payments, so you record each one. Card payments carry Stripe's usual processing fee and no fee from BobbinBill.

Try it with your own quilts.
