Terms of Service
Last updated October 19, 2026
BobbinBill is run by GP Computer Consulting in Midlothian, Virginia. You get 30 days free, then pay monthly or yearly and can cancel anytime. Your studio's data is yours and you can export it whenever you like. Payments between you and your customers are between you and them.
Please read the whole thing; this box is a summary, not a replacement.
1. Who we are
BobbinBill (“BobbinBill”, “we”, “us”) is software for longarm quilting studios, provided by GP Computer Consulting, Midlothian, Virginia. These terms are an agreement between us and the person or business that creates a BobbinBill studio (“you”). By creating a studio or using BobbinBill, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract for your business.
- Give us accurate details and keep your contact email current; it's how we reach you about your account.
- Keep your sign-in to yourself. You're responsible for what happens in your studio under your login. Tell us right away at hello@bobbinbill.com if you think someone else has access.
3. The free trial and your plan
- Every new studio gets a free trial of 30 days from the day it's created. We don't ask for a card during the trial and nothing is charged unless you choose a plan.
- The plan is $24 a month or $240 a year, in US dollars, plus any sales tax that applies. Every feature is included.
- Plans are paid in advance and renew automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. Payment is taken by Stripe, our payment processor.
- Founding studios that we've set up at $15 a month keep that price for as long as their subscription continues without a break. If a founding subscription is cancelled or ends, the founding price ends with it.
- We may change our prices. We'll tell you by email at least 30 days before a change applies to you, and it takes effect at your next renewal after that notice.
4. If a plan isn't paid
If the trial ends without a plan, or a renewal payment fails and isn't fixed within 14 days, your studio becomes read-only: you can see everything but can't add or change records until the plan is paid. While read-only, you can always export your data, and your customers can still open their portal pages and pay you. We don't delete a studio for being unpaid without emailing you first.
5. Cancelling
You can cancel anytime from Settings in your studio. Your plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for. Refunds follow our Refund Policy. To have your studio and its data deleted, use Settings, Danger zone, Request studio deletion; we confirm with you by email before deleting anything.
6. Your data
- Everything you put into BobbinBill, including your customers' details, quilts, photos, prices and messages, stays yours. You can export it anytime from Settings, Your data.
- You give us permission to store, copy, display and process that data only as needed to run BobbinBill for you: to show it to you and to your customers on their portal pages, to send the emails you ask BobbinBill to send, to keep backups, and to give you support.
- For your customers' information, you decide what is collected and why, and we handle it on your behalf. You're responsible for having the right to put it in BobbinBill and to contact your customers through it.
- We never sell your data or your customers' data.
7. Payments between you and your customers
- BobbinBill helps you price work, send estimates and invoices and record payments. The agreement for each quilt, its price and any refund is between you and your customer. We aren't a party to it.
- Card payments go to your own Stripe account under Stripe's terms. BobbinBill charges no fee on those payments; Stripe charges its own processing fees.
- Quick Pay links send customers to Venmo or Cash App, under those services' terms. BobbinBill can't see or confirm those payments. If you take business payments on a personal account, check their terms.
- BobbinBill computes amounts from the prices, allowances, rounding and tax rates you set. Check estimates before you send them; you're responsible for your prices, for charging the right sales tax and for your own tax filings. Nothing in BobbinBill is tax or legal advice.
8. Fair use
Please don't use BobbinBill to:
- break the law, or send messages your customers haven't agreed to receive;
- upload anything you don't have the right to share, or anything harmful such as malware;
- try to get into other studios' data, test our security without permission, or overload the service;
- resell or rent out BobbinBill, or copy it to build a competing product.
If a studio does these things we may suspend it. Where we can, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.
9. Keeping BobbinBill running
We work to keep BobbinBill available and your data safe, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted. We improve BobbinBill all the time and may change or retire features. If we make a change that takes away something you rely on, we'll tell you ahead of time where we reasonably can.
If we ever decide to shut BobbinBill down, we'll give you at least 60 days' notice so you can export your data, and refund any time you've paid for and won't get.
10. Disclaimers
BobbinBill is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we don't give warranties beyond those in these terms, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
11. Limits on liability
As far as the law allows, neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost business, and our total liability to you for any claim about BobbinBill is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Virginia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that we can't settle by talking it through will be handled by the state or federal courts located in Virginia, and we both agree to those courts' jurisdiction.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as BobbinBill grows. For a change that matters, we'll email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you keep using BobbinBill after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can cancel before then.
